Our friendship started so innocent, and naieve
on the playgroud we'd climb,
scaling the trees.

We'd run the feilds together,
I'd beat you every time.
I swore I'd never lose a race till the day I died.

The next few years were similar,
not much at all had changed,
but it was that summer in July when our feelings became the same.

He told me I was special,
that there was nothing I should change.
I grinned at him and asked if he has always felt this way.

He said,"my dear when love is special,
sometimes you have to wait,
these chances dont come often,
and seldom people take".

Years had passed our love grew stronger,
College came our love grew fonder.
Kids and pets and silly things,
we still enjoy what marriage brings.
